Z Series E85 Z4 3.0i (N52) ROADST
Unfasten nut.
Strike off control arm ball joint with plastic hammer.
Installation:
Keep bore in front axle carrier and journal on ball joint clean and
free from oil and grease.
Pressing up ball joint with a transmission lifter simplifies tightening
of nuts.
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque 31 12 3AZ
.
Unfasten screws.
Take off control arm.
Installation:
Check threads for damage; if necessary, repair with Helicoil thread
inserts.
Replace screws.
Tightening torque 31 12 7AZ
.
After installation:
•
Carry out steering angle sensor adjustment
RA Removing and installing left or right control arm
