Z Series E85 Z4 3.0Si (N52) ROADST
Release shear screws (1) (e.g. with a chisel).
Open adjusting lever.
Swivel front steering lock (2) downwards and then remove
towards rear.
Installation:
Tighten down new shear screws (1) until screw heads are
released.
Important!
Make sure all parts are absolutely clean.
Do not degrease steering tube.
Regreasing is not permitted!
Installation:
Align steering tube by way of coding (1) to toothed shaft and
push tube onto shaft.
Installation:
Check steering tube bearing damage, replace if necessary.
Drive steering tube with special tool 32 4 270 into steering
column.
Install Seeger circlip ring (1).
Clip wiring harness (2) into cable duct.
After installation:

Carry out steering angle sensor adjustment
