Removing and installing/replacing
reinforcement plate on front axle support

Special tools required:

•

00 9 120

Important!

Vehicles must not be driven without reinforcement plates.

Driving without the reinforcement plate may damage the front
axle.

Screws of reinforcement plate must be tightened to torque
and then tightened down with special tool  00 9 120 .

All except M Roadster / M Coupé:

Unfasten screws (1 and 4).

Release screws (2) and remove reinforcement plate (6).

Installation:

Replace screws (2).

- 

Install all screws

- 

Tighten down screws (2) to specified torque

Tightening torque, 51 71 3AZ

.

- 

Tighten down screws (1 and 4)

Replacement:

Release screws (3) and remove heat shield (5).
