Removing and installing/replacing left or right
convertible top catch (mechanical)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

•

Remove convertible top fabric from 1st bow.

Remove cover (1 or 2) upwards.

Loosen screws (1).

Tightening torque: 54 31 15AZ

Releasing actuating rod (2):

- 

Slide retainer spring (3) to end of rod.

- 

Detach actuating rod from ball end.

Installation:

Basic adjustment is necessary in event of replacement:

- 

Install both catches and turn cross.

- 

Move safety catch (1) into closed position.

- 

Check dimension A = 78.5

±

0.5 mm.

- 

The dimension can be altered by turning the ball socket (2):

•

Screw in = dimension A is reduced

•

Screw out = dimension A is increased
