Removing and installing/replacing all window
guides on right and left of convertible top
Open convertible top slightly.
Pull window guides/convertible cover seals out of securing rail.
Note:
When removing on both sides, mark seals as right and left.
Installation:
Install sealing lip (1) towards top.
If the seals (above all the middle seal) can be moved too easily,
secure them at one point with fast-action adhesive (sourcing
reference: BMW Parts Service).
Unfasten screws.
Tightening torque: 54 31 16AZ
.
Carefully remove securing rail of window guide and note number
of shims.
Note:
When removing on both sides, mark securing rails as right and
left.
Installation:
Reinstall same number of shims in same position (wind noises,
leakage).
