Removing and installing or replacing heater
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Draw off refrigerant from A/C system.
•
Detach lower section of steering spindle from steering column
.
•
Remove trim for instrument panel.
Warning!
Follow instructions for working on cooling system.
Important!
Carefully blow through aluminum twin pipe (on heat
exchanger) to remove remaining coolant from heater element.
Release hose clamps (1) and detach coolant hoses (2).
Installation:
Vent cooling system and check for leaks.
Release screws (3) and detach refrigerant lines (4) in direction
of arrow.
Installation:
Replace sealing rings.
Tightening torque 64 53 2AZ
.
Make sure bulkhead grommet is correctly seated.
