Removing and installing/replacing intake filter
housing (N52)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit
•
Switch off ignition
•
Only when replacing housing: remove air-mass flow sensor
Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release clamp and detach air intake hose.
Detach intake filter housing (2) from bearing pins of rubber
mounts and from intake duct and remove.
Installation:
Make sure intake filter housing is correctly seated in relation to
intake duct and bearing pins.
Note:
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
