Removing and installing/replacing left or right
tension strut (on rear axle)

Special tools required:

•

00 9 120

Important!

Vehicles must not be driven without tension struts.

Driving without tension struts may damage the vehicle body.

Tension strut screws must be tightened to torque and then
tightened down with special tool  00 9 120 .

Release screw (4).

Release screws (1) and nut (3) and remove tension strut (2).

Installation:

Replace screws (1) and nut (3).

- 

Insert screws (1).

- 

Tighten down screws (1) to specified torque and then to

angle of rotation.

Tightening torque 51 71 5AZ

- 

Tighten down nut (3) to specified torque.

Tightening torque 51 71 7AZ

- 

Tighten screws (4)
