Enter your dealer data or check the dealer data displayed. Confirm the data by
selecting End/Exit.

- 

The diagnosis system will restart and display the DIS start screen. You can now
start the installation of the DIS programs DVD (see point 4).

Procedure in the event of a fault:

- 

If the basic CD is not inserted, the installation will abort with a fault message.

- 

Insert the basic CD "DISplus Base" and repeat the installation.

Important: 
If fault numbers 

200.166 or

200.168

are output, the incorrect installation diskette has been used, or the software for
the radio head has not been correctly updated.

Basic installation of C1 (only for DISplus)

This procedure installs the system selection for DIS / C1 and is only necessary if C1
application is to be used. 
Before commencing basic installation of C1, the basic installation of DISplus must
be performed (see point 2). 

- 

Place the current blue "C1 installation" diskette in the diskette drive.

- 

Switch on DISplus.

- 

Insert the current basic C1 CD "Base" in the DVD drive when the LED on the
diskette drive lights up.

- 

The basic installation then runs automatically.

- 

Do not remove the installation diskette and the basic CD from the drive until the
following message appears: "Please insert the floppy "Base Installation DISplus /
C1" and reboot the system".

- 

Switch off DISplus and then insert the current white "Base DISplus / C1
installation" diskette in the disk drive.

- 

Switch DISplus system on again.

- 

Insert the current basic CD "DISplus Base" in the DVD drive as soon as the
message: "Please insert CD DISplus Base in DVD drive" appears.

- 

Installation is automatically continued and ends with message "Please remove
the Installation Floppy. Press RETURN to continue".

- 

Remove the installation diskette from the drive. The basic CD cannot be removed
until the next DISplus restart.

- 

If the "Programs" DVD is already installed on the DISplus, continue with point 6.

Procedure in the event of a fault: 

- 

If the basic CD is not inserted, the installation will abort with a fault message.

- 

Insert the basic C1 CD "Base" and repeat the installation.

Basic installation of GT1

Note:

When the GT1 is first commissioned, a basic installation using the yellow installation
CD labelled "GT1 Installation" must be performed. The procedure is described in the

IDC  BMW DISplus and GT1 New installation specifications from DIS DVD version 45.0
