SPEEDOMETERS MUST BE ASSEMBLED TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE EXCHANGE PROGRAM WHEN AVAILABLE AND THE DEALER
REQUESTING THE EXCHANGE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY MISSING OR DAMAGED PARTS.
NOTICE:
For details about the servicing of odometers, refer to Part X, Section C, of the 1985 Buick Service Policies and Procedures Manual.
The repaired or exchange speedometer will be returned to your dealership for installation in the owner's vehicle.
BUICK WARRANTY CLAIM
The repaired speedometer will be returned with the dealer's copy of the AC-Delco form, properly completed. A Buick Warranty Claim is to be
submitted for the R&R of the unit along with the freight charges. The dealer copy of the Form ACD-1078A and the freight receipt or shipping invoice
must be attached to the warranty copy of the dealer repair order.
If the repair is done by the dealer, or sublet to a non-AC-Delco repair station, credit will be allowed on a Buick Warranty Claim. Allowances for such
repairs are included in the Labor Time Guide. Sublet repair charges should be included on the claim and the sublet bill retained in the usual manner.
An additional 0.2 hour administrative allowance will be paid when units are repaired under warranty by an AC-Delco Speedometer Service Center or
other qualified service outlet. This additional time must be listed as "other labor hours" with the labor operation for R&R of the unit.
NOTICE:
The electronic cruise control system is to be serviced using 1985 Buick Service Manual Procedures and is not to be sent to AC-Delco
Service Centers.
