Condition
Some customers may comment that their front door has an itch condition on acceleration or deceleration.
Cause
Interference between the upper seat belt restraint striker and the door.
Correction
Install a 2 mm shim, P/N 10142894, behind striker following procedure below:
Procedure
1. Outline the strikers base plate for re-installation.
2. Loosen striker far enough to remove foam under striker plate. See Figure 1.
3. Install shim under striker, see Figure 1.
4. Using the outline in step one, reinstall striker and torque to 50 N-m (37 lb.ft.).
