MODELS AFFECTED: 1986 CENTURYS EQUIPPED WITH 2.8L 2BBL (VIN CODE X) ENGINES PRODUCED AT RAMOS ARIZPE ENGINE PLANT
Some 1986 Centurys equipped with 2.8L 2BBL (RPO LE2) engines produced at the Ramos Arizpe engine plant, may have been assembled with one or
more incorrectly machined piston(s). This condition could result in engine knock.
Correction of this condition will consist of inspection for suspect engine production date codes, and if required, replacement of the partial engine
assembly.
