Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Throttle Position Sensor
REMOVE

Throttle Body Assembly

Remove TPS attaching screws and retainers.

Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).
CAUTION: The TPS is an electrical component and must not be soaked in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.
INSTALL

With throttle valve in the closed position, install throttle position sensor on throttle body assembly, making sure TPS lever lines up with the TPS
drive letter on the throttle shaft.

Retainers and two TPS screws. [1]

Throttle Body Assembly
[1] DO NOT tighten screws until TPS is adjusted.
Adjust
If TPS requires adjustment refer to Adjustments.
TIGHTEN
^
TPS attaching screw to 2.0 Nm (18 lb in)
