Stabilizer Shaft: Service and Repair
Front Suspension
1.
Raise and support front of vehicle.
2.
Remove nut, link bolt, retainers, grommets, spacer and stabilizer linkage from lower control arms.
3.
Remove bracket to frame bolts, then remove stabilizer shaft, rubber bushings and brackets. On Regal models, use tool No. J-25359-20 to remove
stabilizer shaft bolt.
4.
Reverse procedure to install and note the following:
a. When installing rubber bushings, bushings should be positioned squarely in the brackets with the bushing slit facing front of vehicle.
b. Torque stabilizer link nut to 13 ft. lbs. and bracket bolts to 25 ft. lbs.
