Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
Hydraulic Accumulator

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Depressurize accumulator, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/DEPRESSURIZING HYDRAULIC ACCUMULATOR procedure.

3.

Remove accumulator and O-ring.

4.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate new O-ring with clean brake fluid.
b. Torque accumulator to 17 ft. lbs.
c. Turn ignition switch to On position and ensure BRAKE light goes out within 60 seconds.
d. Reactivate Delco-Loc radios by turning ignition and radio to the On position, then pressing the Mute button on the steering wheel

control.
