Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Serpentine belt.
2. Tensioner pulley bolt and pulley.
3. Inner fender electrical cover-right side.
4. Power steering pump from mounting bracket and lay aside.
5. Loosen alternator bolts. Remove bolt holding alternator to tensioner assembly.
6. Tensioner bolt and studs.
7. Tensioner.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Tensioner.
2. Tensioner bolt and studs. Tighten bolt to 45 Nm (33 ft lbs) and studs to 52 Nm (38 ft lbs).
3. Alternator bolts and tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft lbs).
4. Power steering pump to mounting bracket.
5. Tensioner pulley bolt and pulley. Tighten bolt to 45 Nm (33 ft lbs).
6. Inner fender electrical cover.
7. Serpentine belt.
