Involved are certain 2009 model year Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn OUTLOOK vehicles that are registered outside of
Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Ohio,
Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, and built within the following VIN breakpoints:
Parts Information
GM Only: Parts required to complete this program are to be obtained from General Motors Service and Parts Operations (GMSPO). Please refer to your
"involved vehicles listing" before ordering parts. Normal orders should be placed on a DRO = Daily Replenishment Order. In an emergency situation,
parts should be ordered on a CSO = Customer Special Order.
Saturn Only: A pre-shipment of the required parts to perform this program has been sent to involved Saturn US retailers from Saturn Service Parts
Operations (SSPO).

General Motors will notify customers of this special coverage on their vehicles (see copy of typical customer letter shown in this bulletin - actual
divisional letter may vary slightly).
Service Procedure
Warning
If the brake check valves are NOT installed correctly, an increased amount of brake pedal effort will be required to obtain brake function. The brake
assist system will NOT perform as designed if the check valves are installed incorrectly. Carefully read and perform Steps 7-8 to ensure proper
installation of the brake check valves.
Replace the first design brake booster vacuum hose check valve (1) with a second design brake booster vacuum hose check valve (2). An arrow on the
second design check valve indicates the vacuum draw direction (3).
1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield (engine cover) from the engine. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in SI.
