Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement
Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (LLT) (3.6L)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (See: Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector Sight
Shield Replacement).
2. Remove the high pressure pump shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (See: ).
3. Relieve the low side fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (With CH-48027) (See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and
Repair/Fuel Pressure Relief (With CH-48027))Fuel Pressure Relief (Without CH-48027) (See: Fuel Filter/Fuel Pressure Release/Service and
Repair/Fuel Pressure Relief (Without CH-48027)).
4. Disconnect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting from the fuel feed pipe (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (See: Fuel
Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
5. Loosen the fuel feed pipe fitting to the high pressure fuel pump.
6. Remove the fuel feed pipe bolts (4) from the cylinder heads.
7. Remove the fuel feed pipe from the engine and high pressure fuel pump.
Installation Procedure
1. Ensure that the fuel feed pipe and fuel pump fittings are clean and dry prior to assembly.
