2. Position the fuel feed pipe (2) to the cylinder head and high pressure fuel pump.
3. Install the fuel feed pipe fitting to the high pressure fuel pump hand tight.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution)

4. Install the fuel feed pipe bolts (4).

1. Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
2. Tighten the fitting to28  Nm (20 lb ft).

5. Connect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting to the fuel feed pipe (2). Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement   (See: ).

Important:  If a fuel leak accrues at the high pressure fuel pump, the pump will need to be replaced.

6. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
2. Turn OFF the ignition, for 10 seconds.
3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
4. Inspect for fuel leaks.

7. Install the low side fuel pressure service port cap.
8. Install the fuel tank cap.
9. Install the high pressure pump shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement   (See: ).

10. Install the fuel injection sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement   (See: Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel Injector Sight
