Wiper Arm: Testing and Inspection
Wiper Arm Tip Pressure Check
Wiper Arm Pressure Check
1. Run the wiper arms to the mid-wipe position.
2. Remove the wiper blades from the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement (Acadia) (See: Wiper Blade/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement)Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement (Enclave) (See: Wiper Blade/Service and Repair/Removal and

Wiper Blade Replacement (Traverse) (See: Wiper Blade/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement).
3. Attach a scale to the end of the wiper arm and measure the force required to lift the wiper arm perpendicular to the windshield to normal working
height (height with the blade attached).
4. Replace the wiper arm if the measurement is not within the specification. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement (Traverse) (See: Service
and Repair/Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement)Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement (Acadia) (See: Service and Repair/Windshield Wiper

5. Install the wiper blades on the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement (Acadia) (See: Wiper Blade/Service and
