with Control Power Lumbar Passenger Seat (RPO AT9)
Condition
Some customers may comment on a rattling noise coming from the passenger front seat back. This condition may occur when the lumbar support is fully
recessed.
Cause
The cause of the rattle may be the left and/or right lumbar wiring harness contacting the inner passenger seat back finish panel.
Correction
Secure the passenger front seat left and right lumbar wiring harnesses to the rear seat back cushion actuators using the steps below.
Verify that the rattle is coming from the passenger front seat back.
Remove the passenger front seat back finish panel.
Tip
Use a flashlight to help pinpoint the top two retainers.
Using a flat-bladed tool, start from the side of the seat back finish panel and push inward on the top two retainers while pulling back on the top of the
finish panel.
Release the two bottom plastic hooks by lifting the rear finish panel upward to remove from the seat. Locate the left lumbar wiring harness and position
the wiring harness towards the seat back cushion.
Install a tie strap (1) around the left lumbar wiring harness and actuator. Then tighten the tie strap (1) and cut off any excess nylon strap.
Locate the right lumbar wiring harness and position the wiring harness towards the seat back cushion.
