LaCrosse V6-3.8L (2009)
3. Install the J 38606 on the valve spring.
4. Compress the valve spring using the J 38606 .
5. Install the valve spring and cap.
6. Install the valve locks.
7. Release the valve spring.
Important: Ensure that the valve locks are seated.
8. Release the air pressure, and remove the J 23590 .
9. Install the spark plug. Refer to Spark Plug Replacement (See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Spark Plug/Service and Repair).
10. Install the push rods and the valve rocker arms. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement (See: Camshaft, Lifters and Push
Rods/Rocker Arm Assembly/Service and Repair).
11. Install the left or the right valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left Side (See: Cylinder Head
Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair/Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Left Side) or Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right
Side (See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair/Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side).
