LaCrosse V6-3.8L (2009)
1. Connect the pump motor connector (3) to the bottom of the EBCM.
2. Install the EBCM (1) to the BPMV (4).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
3. Install the 6 EBCM to BPMV retaining bolt/screws (2).
Tighten the retaining bolt/screws to 2.9 Nm (26 lb in).
4. Connect the EBCM harness connector.
5. Reengage the locking tab (1) to the EBCM harness connector.
6. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine
Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose/Service and Repair).
7. Install the front fender upper diagonal brace. Refer to Front Fender Upper Diagonal Brace Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Front
Fender/Service and Repair).
8. Install the fuel injector sight shield, 3.8L engine only. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement (See: Powertrain Management/Fuel
Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement).
9. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. Do not start the engine.
10. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle (See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Diagnostic System
Check - Vehicle).
