This bulletin is being updated to provide Part Information for the Impala. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 06-08-49-010 (Section 08 - Body
and Accessories).
The center storage console lid on six-passenger models has been redesigned with a more robust latch and lid. The revised style lid will mate with the
original style front console storage compartment.
Use the following procedure when replacing the center storage console lid and latch assembly.
Remove the two screws retaining the console lid to the hinge plate.
Remove the console lid assembly.
Install the two screws to the console lid hinge plate.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
