Front Side Door Hinge Spring Replacement

Tools Required

J 36604 Door Hinge Spring Compressor

Removal Procedure

1. Open the front door.

2. Support the door in the fully open position.

Caution: Before removing the spring, cover the spring with a towel to prevent the spring from flying and possibly causing damage or personal
injury.

3. Use the J 36604 to remove the hinge spring from the door.

Place the hinge spring tool J 36604 as close to each end of the spring as possible.

4. Remove and discard the old hinge spring.

Installation Procedure

1. Use the J 36604 to install the hinge spring to the door.

Place the hinge spring tool J 36604 as close to each end of the spring as possible.
