Front Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure

Notice: Refer to Paint Damage Notice.

1. Remove the front door frame applique. Refer to Front Door Frame Applique Replacement ().
2. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair).
3. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair).
4. Remove the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement (See: Mirrors/Service and Repair/Power Mirror Replacement).
5. Remove the front door inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (See: Front Side

Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).

6. Position the window to the full down position.
7. Remove the front door window weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (See: Front Side Door Window

Weatherstrip Replacement).

8. Remove the bolt (3) from the window channel retainer (2).
9. Drill out the 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer.

10. Remove the window channel retainer from the door.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the window channel retainer to the door.
2. Install the new 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer. 
3. Install the bolt (3) to the window channel retainer (2).
