Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure

Notice: Refer to Paint Damage Notice.

1. Remove the rear door frame applique. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement ().
2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair).
3. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair).
4. Position the window to the full down position.
5. Remove the rear door inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (See: Rear Door Window Belt

Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).

6. Remove the rear door outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (See: Rear Door Window Belt

Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).

7. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (See: Rear Side Door Window

Weatherstrip Replacement).

8. Drill out the 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer (2).
9. Remove the bolt (3) from the corner of the window channel retainer (2).

10. Remove the window channel retainer from the door.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the window channel retainer to the door.
2. Install the new 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer (2). 
3. Install the bolt (3) to the lower corner of the window channel retainer (2).
