Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L26) (See: Starting and

Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LY7) (See: Starting and
Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS4) (See: Starting and
Charging/Battery/Battery Cable/Service and Repair).

2. Remove the outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair).

3. Disconnect the body wiring harness from the accessory wiring junction block. Pull the harness away from the block for access.
4. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Glove Compartment/Service and Repair).

5. Remove the junction block bolt.

6. Disengage the junction block tabs from the passenger knee bolster. Pull the junction block away from the I/P.
7. Remove the junction block.
