2. Install the outer tie rod assembly (2) to the steering knuckle (1).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice).
3. Install the prevailing torque nut (2) to the outer tie rod assembly (1).
Tighten the nut to 30 N.m plus 120 degrees (22 lb ft plus 120 degrees). Inspect to ensure that 21/2-41/2 threads are visible above the
nylon washer.
4. Install tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Perform a front end alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement (See: Alignment/Service and Repair/Wheel Alignment Measurement).
