Dear General Motors Customer:

We have learned that your 2011 model year Buick LaCrosse may have been built with a Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) that contains a
pressure relief valve that may not perform to GM specification under certain Antilock Braking (ABS) events. During normal braking and routine ABS
events, the BPMV will perform as intended; however, a suspect pressure relief valve may not release a "locked wheel" during a "panic stop" type
braking event until the driver begins to release the brake pedal. A vehicle with this condition will not see a degradation in stopping distance on dry
pavement with a single-wheel lock up; however, the vehicle performance may not be as stable during heavy braking. 

Your satisfaction with your Buick LaCrosse is very important to us, so we are announcing a program to prevent this condition or, if it has occurred, to fix
it. 

What We Will Do:  Your GM dealer will inspect, and if necessary, replace the BPMV. This service will be performed for you at no charge. 

What You Should Do: To limit any possible inconvenience, we recommend that you contact your dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment
for this inspection.

Courtesy Transportation:  If your vehicle is within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, your dealer may provide you with shuttle service or some other
form of courtesy transportation while your vehicle is at the dealership for this repair. Please refer to your Owner Manual and your dealer for details on
Courtesy Transportation.
