Sunroof Sunshade Motor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only perform the steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to

gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with Sunroof)   (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
Repair/Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (With Sunroof))Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (without Sunroof)   (See: Interior Moulding /

2. Remove the power sunroof motor.

1. Remove the 3 bolts (1).
2. Disconnect the wiring harness plug (2).

Installation Procedure

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution)

1. Install the power sunroof motor.

Tighten the 3 bolts to 4 Nm (35 lb in).

2. Connect the wiring harness plug.
3. Verify the operation of the sunroof.
4. When replacing the motor/actuator. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process (New Motor)   (See: Sunroof / Moonroof

5. Install the headlining. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (with Sunroof)   (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and
