7. Inspect the ground connection at the G122 location, which is on the passenger's side of the vehicle at the rear of the cylinder head.
1. Use a mirror to locate the ground fastener G122. Refer to illustration.
Caution
The torque specification for the fastener at the G122 location is 20 Nm (15 lb-ft). You will not be able to use a torque wrench at this location.
Carefully tighten the fastener at this location. Do NOT over-tighten the fastener.
2. Inspect the fastener with a wrench.

If the fastener is loose, tighten the fastener until the ground connection at the G122 location is secure. Do NOT over-tighten the fastener.

If the fastener is not loose, proceed to Step 8.
