HUB ASSEMBLY SEAL SQUEAK/SQUAWK NOISE

CONDITION:
Some owners may comment about a squeak or squawk noise coming from the front of the vehicle in or near the front wheels. This condition may be
caused by insufficient grease on the lip seal of the hub assembly.
CORRECTION:
Disconnect Hub Assembly following service manual "on-vehicle service" procedure for front suspension in Section 3C. Lubricate Hub and Seal area
with GM1052497 grease thoroughly (fill cavity between seal and bearing).
NOTE:
For 1992 model vehicles, this condition has been eliminated with the introduction of a new Hub and Assembly design, which requires no lubrication.
