a.
If hose was not routed correctly, replace the hose with Part Number 25529012. Refer to Figure 2 for proper installation of the new hose.

If hose was routed correctly, replacement is not required.
2.
Check to be sure there is a minimum of 2-1/2 inches (63.5 mm) clearance between the engine wiring harness and the exhaust manifold. Refer to
Figures 1 and 2. If required, position harness outboard and to the right. It may be necessary to strap the harness to the heater hoses to maintain this
clearance.
3.
If hose was replaced, fill and bleed power steering system, following procedure on Page 3B7-5 of the 1986 Buick Chassis Service Manual.
4.
Install a Campaign Identification Label.
