Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair
Proportioner Valves
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Brake pipes and plug open pipes to prevent fluid loss and contamination.
2. Proportioner valve assemblies.
3. O-rings.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Lubricate new O-rings and external proportioner valve threads with clean brake fluid.
2. New O-rings on proportioner valve assemblies.
3. Proportioner valve assemblies into master cylinder body and tighten to 31 Nm (24 lbs ft).
4. Brake pipes and tighten to 15 Nm (11 lbs ft).
