STEP 1: Verify that both front door pads are installed correctly and securely to the front door panels.
Correct if needed.
Method: A visual inspection of the distance from the front door inner panel to the edge of the door pad, at the forward surface, will verify correct
installation.
If this distance is greater than 5 to 7mm, or it is not a consistent distance:
1.
Identify possible problem -
a.
Missing or bent door trim pad fastener
b.
Speaker or wire interference
c.
Chrome belt retainer not properly engaged to seal strip
d.
Inner belt sealing Strip not fully seated to door inner panel
2.
Correct problem and reinstall door pad to door inner.
3.
Recheck vehicle for I/P to door trim contact. If there is still contact, continue to Step 2.
