MODELS AFFECTED: SOME 1983 ELECTRAS, LESABRES, AND RIVIERAS EQUIPPED WITH 5.0L (VIN CODE Y) V-8 ENGINES
General Motors has determined that some 1983 Electras, LeSabres, and Rivieras with 5.0L V-8 gasoline engines may develop a restricted exhaust due to
the catalytic converter becoming plugged.

1983 Electras, LeSabres, and Rivieras equipped with 5.0L V-8 gasoline engines (VIN Code Y) with serial numbers within the following breakpoints:
