Air Filter Element: Service and Repair
AIR CLEANER ELEMENT REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Loosen the air cleaner cover screws (1).
IMPORTANT: DO NOT remove the screws from the upper air cleaner cover.
2. Open the air cleaner cover.
3. Remove the air filter from the air cleaner.
4. Inspect the air cleaner housing assembly for damage. If a problem is found, replace as necessary.
IMPORTANT: The air cleaner cover has a hydro carbon absorber that is not serviceable. If the absorber shows any kind of physical damage the
cover must be replaced.
