Filler Tube and Seal Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fluid indicator.
2. Remove the fluid filler tube bracket bolt from the fluid filler tube bracket.
3. Remove the fluid filler tube.
4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
5. Remove filler tube seal.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the fluid filler tube seal in the transaxle.
2. Apply some DEXRON(r)III fluid or equivalent to the inside diameter of the seal.
3. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
4. Position the fluid filler tube into the transaxle.
5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the fluid filler tube bracket bolt through the fluid filler tube bracket.

Tighten the fluid filler tube bracket bolt to 9 Nm (79 inch lbs.).
6. Install the indicator.
7. Fill the transaxle to the proper level. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications.
8. Inspect the transaxle fluid level.
9. Inspect for fluid leaks.
