Condition
Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions:
Check Engine Light On
Traction Control System (TCS) Warning Light On
Service Traction Control Message Displayed on DIC
Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC P1915 set as current or in history.
Cause
The cause of these conditions may be due to the transmission wiring harness being pinched between the scavenger filter and the magnet on the bottom
pan, resulting in a short to ground.
Correction
Follow published diagnostics for P1915. If diagnosis leads to a grounded circuit, replace the automatic transmission wiring harness assembly. Be sure to
correctly route the new harness between the scavenger filter. Relocate the magnet on the bottom pan indentations.
