Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
Note: DO NOT apply thread sealant to the sensor threads. The sensor threads are coated at the factory. Applying additional sealant affects the sensors
ability to detect detonation.
1. Install and tighten the knock sensor (1).
Tighten the sensor to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
2. Connect the knock sensor electrical connector (1).
3. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (V8) (See: Emission Control Systems/Catalytic Converter/Service and
Repair).
4. Lower the vehicle.
