Important: Clean the fill pipe or any dirt or debris. Ensure the fill pipe is installed to the original depth to the fill hose. The fill pipe bead
must be inserted into the hose past the clamp position.
7. Connect the fuel tank EVAP recirculation line quick connect fitting (1) to the fill pipe line. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (
See: Fuel Line Coupler/Service and Repair/Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
8. Connect the fuel fill hose (2) to the fuel fill pipe.
9. Tighten the fuel fill hose clamp (1) at the fill pipe.
Tighten the clamp to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
10. Install the left rear wheel house liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Rear Fender/Rear
Fender Liner/Service and Repair).
11. Inspect the fuel tank fill pocket opening grommet. Ensure the grommet is seated flush to the body.
12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery
Cable/Service and Repair).
13. Perform the following procedure in order to inspect for leaks:
