Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) - Check Engine Light On, DTCs P0411 or P2444 Set (Reprogram ECM)
Models:
2008 Buick Lucerne
2008 Cadillac DTS
Equipped with 4.6L Engine (VIN Codes Y or 9 - RPOs LD8 or L37)
Condition
Some customers may comment that the check engine light is on. Upon investigation, the technician may find DTC P0411 or P2444 set.
Correction
Follow published diagnostics for the DTC stored using SI. If routine diagnosis does not reveal any defects with the SAIR pump, control valve or other
parts and no kinked, pinched or obstructed SAIR pipes or tubes are found, technicians are to reprogram the engine control module (ECM) using SPS
with the latest software available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the Service Programming System (SPS) procedures in SI. As always make sure your Tech 2(R)
is updated with the latest software version.
