Service Procedure
Inspection
1.
Raise hood.
2.
Remove left hand sound insulator to expose lower steering column area.
3.
Inspect BTSI Solenoid date code stamped on bottom of solenoid (see illustration).

If date code is 2286, 2287, 2288, 2289, 2290, 2293 proceed to replacement, step 4.

If date code is other than above, proceed to step 5.
