Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the inside door handle bezel. Refer to Handle Bezel Replacement - Inside  (See: Front Door/Front Door Handle/Front Door Interior

Handle/Service and Repair) .

2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door  See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door  (See: Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the window inner belt seal. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner  (See: Rear Door Window Glass/Rear

5. Remove the window outer belt seal. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer  (See: Rear Door Window Glass/Rear

6. Remove the door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door  (See: Rear Door Window Glass/Service and Repair) .
7. Remove the rear door stationary window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door Stationary  (See: Rear Door Window Glass/Service and

Repair) .

8. Remove the rear door upper auxiliary weatherstrip fasteners (1-7).
9. Carefully peel the auxiliary weatherstrip away from the door header.

Installation Procedure

1. Seat the top of the seal lip over the door header flange.
2. Align the front hole in the weatherstrip to the plastic nut in the door header.
3. Starting at the front, roll the weatherstrip over the flange on the door header while holding the weatherstrip lip in order to prevent it from tucking

under against the door.

4. Install the door to door seal on to the forward flange of the door header starting at the top and working towards the bottom.
5. Ensure that the front fastener (1) hole is aligned with the plastic nut in the door header.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

6. Install the auxiliary weatherstrip fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners, starting with the front fastener (1) to 0.8-1 N.m (7-9 lb in).

7. Install the rear door stationary window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door Stationary  (See: Rear Door Window Glass/Service and Repair
