Trunk / Liftgate Hinge: Service and Repair

Hinge Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear  (See: Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf  (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Rear Shelf/Service and

Repair) in Interior Trim.

3. Remove the torque rods (1) from the hinge (2). Refer to Torque Rod Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid  (See: Trunk / Liftgate Shock /

Support/Service and Repair) .

4. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

*

The nuts

*

The bolts

5. Remove the hinge from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the hinge (2) to the vehicle.
