SUNROOF WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the window panel (3).
2. Pull away from the channel at the rim edge of the window, in order to remove the weatherstrip (1).
3. Discard the old sunroof window weatherstrip.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Clean the old adhesive from the channel at the rim edge of the window.

2. Apply a 152 mm (6 in) strip of adhesive to the side of the window channel (3).
3. Start with the end of the weatherstrip (1) covering 77 mm (3.03 in) of the previously applied adhesive.Working around the window (3), push the

weatherstrip (1) into the channel.

4. Cut free the end of the weatherstrip (1) at the side, in order to allow a 3-5 mm (1/8-3/16 in) overlap.
5. Place a small amount of the adhesive on the free end of the weatherstrip (1).
6. Butt together the ends of the weatherstrip (1), pushing the free end into the channel.
7. Force the remainder of the weatherstrip (1) into the channel.
8. Allow time for the adhesive to dry as recommended on the adhesive label.
9. Install the sunroof window panel.
