Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

TAIL LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the rear compartment sill plate.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Remove the nuts (3) that retain the tail lamp (2) to the vehicle.
4. Remove the grommet (1) from the rear end panel.
5. Remove the Taillamp (2) from the vehicle.
6. Release the locking tab and turn the bulb and the socket counterclockwise in order to remove the bulb and the socket from the Taillamp (2).
7. Remove the bulb from the socket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the bulb to the socket.
2. Turn the bulb and the socket clockwise in order to install the bulb and the socket to the lamp.
3. Install the grommet (1) to the rear end panel.

IMPORTANT:  Ensure that the grommet (1) is fully seated.

4. Install the Taillamp (2) to the vehicle.
5. Install the nuts (3) in order to retain the Taillamp (2) to the vehicle.
6. Connect the electrical connector.
7. Install the rear compartment sill plate.
