Condition 1
Some customers may comment that the front floor carpet (1) is loose around the driver's side floor next to the sill plate or foot rest.
Cause 1
This condition may be caused by the lack of padding under the carpet at the left front foot rest.
Correction 1
Install floor deadener to the foam foot rest block using the steps below.
Position the left front seat assembly to the full rear position.
Remove the left front floor mat.
Remove the left front door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement in SI.
Reposition the carpet up and away from the foot rest block.
