5. Remove the front differential and secure to the frame. See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Differential Assembly/Service and Repair/Front

6. Remove the front drive axle intermediate shaft bearing assembly.
With 4WD See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Differential Assembly/Service and Repair/Front Differential/Intermediate Shaft Bearing Assembly
Replacement - Front Drive Axle (S4WD)
With AWD See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Differential Assembly/Service and Repair/Front Differential/Intermediate Shaft Bearing Assembly

7. Drain the engine oil.
8. Unclip the transmission cooler lines from the engine block.
9. Remove 4 transmission bell housing bolts that are attached to the oil pan.
